Flowers by Felicia – Playa Del Rey Florist

Building the Shopify Store:

  • Store Setup: I began by creating a clean, visually appealing Shopify store for Flowers by Felicia with an elegant theme that reflects the florist's branding. The theme was chosen to be mobile-responsive, ensuring an excellent user experience on both desktops and mobile devices.

  • Product Pages: For each product (e.g., bouquets, flower arrangements, gift baskets), I created dedicated pages with clear, high-quality images, detailed descriptions, and relevant keywords.

  • Navigation: I streamlined navigation by organizing the store’s categories based on product types, such as wedding flowers, funeral arrangements, event florals, and gift bouquets. This makes it easier for users to find what they’re looking for quickly.

Implementing Meta Tags:

  • Meta Titles & Descriptions: I implemented optimized meta titles and meta descriptions for each product page, including local keywords like “Playa Del Rey florist” and specific terms for flower arrangements, such as “custom wedding flowers Playa Del Rey.” This helps each page rank higher for relevant local searches.

  • Product Tags: Each product page also had product tags for better organization and internal search optimization, such as “luxury wedding flowers,” “same-day flower delivery Playa Del Rey,” and more.

  • Alt Text for Images: I ensured all images were optimized with alt text that included specific flower names and local keywords, improving both the store’s SEO and accessibility.

Streamlining the Flow with Emails:

  • Email Automation: Set up automated email flows in Shopify using Klaviyo to welcome new customers, encourage repeat purchases, and send follow-ups. This included:

    • Welcome Email: Sent a thank-you email with a discount code to new subscribers and first-time customers.

    • Abandoned Cart Emails: Implemented a flow to automatically email customers who added items to their cart but didn’t check out, prompting them to complete their purchase.

    • Post-Purchase Emails: Sent a personalized email after purchase to thank customers, request reviews, and offer future discounts.

This approach helped Flowers by Felicia improve its online store’s visibility and engagement, ultimately driving more traffic and increasing sales.
